Welcome to EOS Climate

EOS Climate produces high-quality carbon offsets through the destruction of ozone depleting substances (ODS) that are also potent greenhouse gases. Even though many ODS are no longer manufactured, they are still emitted by leaky, old air conditioning units and refrigeration equipment. ODS are a ticking time bomb for our climate and the environment because they are up to 11,000 times more powerful as greenhouse gases than carbon dioxide on a pound-for-pound basis. Current global inventories of ODS are equivalent to approximately 2.5 times the annual GHG emissions of the United States.

EOS Climate has built a transparent and comprehensive system to collect and destroy ODS. This system enables EOS to deliver high quality emissions reductions to capped emitters in the near term. The system includes:

• EOS Climate authored quantification methodology, written to ISO 14064 Greenhouse Gas International Standard, which can be used in both the regulatory and voluntary carbon markets.
• Strategic partnership with the leading appliance recycler to ensure access to ODS.
• Technology partner to ensure each step in the process is tracked and highly verifiable emissions reductions are delivered quickly.
